Wow. There are hundreds of videos and sound clips on the internet of interviews going badly, but RIM’s Stephen Bates has just topped them all in an interview with the BBC this morning.

The interview was supposed to be an opportunity for Bates to promote BB10, which is being revealed later today. However, he was so committed to sticking to a pre-planned statement that he simply ignored any question asked to him by the presenter.

When asked multiple times what RIM had learned from Apple and the iPhone, Bates took a small pause, before continuing on this his speech. Without so much as an attempt to make it sound like he was transitioning into the question.
